- I am an artist all my life but now am at it full time since my children are grown up. Since I got my computer I have been experimenting with digitalized art by transforming pictures of my paintings into new works of art and also creating new paintings on the monitor.

I love to paint the sea and country landscapes. I also like to do pen & ink illustrations of farms, towns, homes and lighthouses. I am one of 14 talented siblings and was born in Brooklyn NY and currently live in the countryside of Pa.
I have 5 children and 11 grandchildren ~!
I like to travel cross country soaking in the sites and trying to put them down on canvas and paper.This year I took a plane to be with my daughters as one gave birth. Quite a trip but now I am home again, painting and online~

Some ways I utilize Digital Art in my work~
The Original Painting was only 2.5 x 3.5 inches .It was much better than shown in this poor scanning, which didn't even recapture the colors or textures.

Well I still have alot to learn on the computer. I thought I posted 3 pics in the last one with comments, but they didnt come out and I dont know how to delete those big blanks x spots... Here is one of the other pics I tried to post....It is a digital variation of the previous one shown that I did on my computer...
This was digitally repainted from a grainy jpeg of a watercolor painting I did for my daughter. In this version I have made it so I can print them as giclees on my HP9800 wide format. I also had this made into blank greeting cards I have available on my etsy site.[AveHurley.etsy.com]
